Who We Are



Cascades Tissue Group North Carolina, Inc.., a Division of Cascades Inc., celebrates its thirtieth year in Richmond County.
The 1983 purchase reopened a facility which had shut down two years earlier. With the purchase of the plant, an additional $7 million was invested in rebuilding and
installation of equipment before it reopened. A converting operation on the Site was later acquired from American Converters.
In 1999 Cascades brought more opportunities to the plant by investing in a $30 million project to Install another Paper Machine and renovations, including new offices
and expansion of warehouse space
A new state of the art $3 million tissue converting line was purchased 1n 2002 and brought more growth to the operations. This line brought the capability of producing
well over a million cases of tissue products annually and is another example of the commitment to growth in our area.
Currently, CTG·NC employs 128 employees and continues to operate two paper machines producing approximately 55,000 tons annually of tissue and towel paper with
four converting lines producing more than 2,500,000 cases of products annually.
Cascades Tissue Group has purchased nine other U.S. facilities, is the fourth largest !Issue producer in North America and takes much pride in its operations because
all their facilities use recycled fiber. Cascades products are not sold under that brand name in the United States, but are marketed under brands targeted for markets such
as hotels, food services, and other businesses.
