Who We Are

Ray's Furniture and Jewelry was established in 1989. At that time it was a jewelry, shoe and shoe repair store. In 2000 Ray's bought Heilig Myers furniture store in Elizabethtown and incorporated the furniture, jewelry and shoe repair into one location.
Ray's background in the shoe repair is why he likes to piddle with shoes. He started to work in a shoe shop here in Elizabethtown at the age of 13 with preacher, Mr. Emerson Martin, and loves doing it sill as a hobby making Ray's diversified in this struggling economy.
Ray's is family owned and operated. Wanda, Ray's wife, now has a custom picture framing business in the store. Ray's son, Evan who is a business graduate from UNC-Wilmington, now is the second generation employed at the store. Ray's youngest son, Tyler is in Pre-med at Campbell University, also works at the store when home. His grandson, Blake (the third generation) also helps.
Ray's takes great pride in being a mom and pop store, operating in his home town, helping people in his community any way he can.
Come see Ray, his family, and all the merchants in lovely downtown Elizabethtown.
