Home to professional rehab equipment, extraordinary physical plant cleanliness, a beautiful environment, high staff-to-patient ratios and an employee base that has had no significant turnover in 10 years, Overbrook consistently raises the bar for all area facilities.


Overbrook is a 5 star (highest) Medicare award recipient for Staffing, Quality Measures, Health Inspections and is Deficiency free. Also, a SUPERIOR rating by the American Health Care Association on significant quality standards related to low hospital readmission rate and low use of psychotropic medications.



Dr. Richard Simpson, MD

Dr. Simpson, Overbrook’s Medical Director has an on-site office and is available to residents and families 1 or 2 days every week. He has practiced medicine for 4 decades and has experience in family practice, pediatrics, medication adjustment for the special needs, hospice and geriatrics. Dr. Simpson is available 24 hours a day and provides subacute, skilled and intermediate care to our residents.

Charla Brown-McGuire, RN, LNHA

Charla has been Overbrook’s on-site Administrator for 14 years and a Registered Nurse for 21 years. Her priority is to ensure that each of the residents is treated like family. She enjoys working with the residents and their families to make Overbrook a place that can be called home, whether for a short term rehab stay or as a long time residence. Her management team has more longevity than any other management team in the area, providing better continuity of care.

Michelle Gilmore, Director of Nursing

Michelle has been with Overbrook Center for 19 years. During this time she has worked her way up from an activity assistant to the Director of Nursing. She has been in her current position for 13 years and is one of the many people who make the Overbrook staff “more like a family.”

Lisa Cunningham, Office Manager

Lisa has been the Business Office Manager for Overbrook Center since 2000. The business office does billing to Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance and private claims. During your stay at Overbrook Center, Lisa is very glad to answer all your financial questions or find the answers you need as they relate to the ever changing healthcare system.

Dionne is a Certified Executive Chef specializing in whole and natural foods. She studied culinary arts in Pittsburgh at Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts. Dionne has a passion for all things creative and enjoys coming up with new and innovative theme dinners and events for the residents and their families.
